Restore the flow. Release the knot.
Clinical, hands-on bodywork rooted in centuries of Chinese therapeutic technique — pushing, pressing, kneading and stretching to clear the meridians, break up fascial adhesion, and get blood moving again. Based in Edmonton, Alberta, and proud to welcome clients from Heritage Valley and the surrounding communities.
Left untreated, tension builds ● — Tuina works it loose ●
通畅
Pain is often just qi and blood that stopped moving.
Tuina works the body the way an acupuncturist reads it — along the meridians, at the trigger points, through the fascia — but with the practitioner's own hands as the instrument. Fingers, palm, and elbow apply direct, graduated pressure to open restrictions that stretching alone can't reach.
It isn't a relaxation add-on. It's a targeted, sometimes firm, always deliberate treatment aimed at a specific complaint: a locked-up shoulder, a low back that won't release, a knot that's been there for years.
One treatment, eight distinct hand methods.
Each session draws from this working vocabulary — applied in combination, in whatever order the tissue calls for.
Oscar Xu, Registered Massage Therapist
I'm Oscar Xu, a Registered Massage Therapist in Alberta with over 3 years of clinical experience across multi-disciplinary clinics. My path started earlier, though — apprenticing under a Tuina master with over 40 years of expertise, learning not just the hand techniques but the philosophy behind this 2,000-year-old tradition.
Tuina isn't a light-touch relaxation massage. It works through deep pressure, stretching, and rhythm to release chronic tension — and it can be intense while we work through stubborn adhesions. That depth is exactly what delivers the results clients keep coming back for, many for years, referring friends and family along the way.
My goal is simple: share what 2,000 years of this practice can do for your body, whatever your background. It may not be the easiest massage you've ever had — but it might be the most effective.
